I Ate iPod Shuffle

This poet took a little joke from Apple's web page "Do not eat iPod shuffle" and wrote a poem about it.

It's pretty funny.

How To Adjust Your Mirrors

Okay folks. Pet peeve of mine and often a discussion that I do not feel like having. Alas, here is a website that presents the CORRECT way to adjust your mirrors. In my experience less than 10% of drivers do this, the other 90% of you are all MORONS!

The Covers Project

This is a really cool website. Here's how they describe it:

We're building a database of cover songs (songs RECORDED by an artist other than the original ARTIST) with the intention of creating cover "chains."

And each song is linked to iTunes or Amazon, so you can hear a 30-sec clip. And a side benefit is that they get the affiliate $$'s for sending traffic and customers there.

I've been using to make sure that I have some tunes labeled correctly. Thanks guys!

Happy 31st Birthday Todd!

Minty MP3

Leave it to MIT for this gem. And TT thought putting his camera in an altoids tin was cool. In other news there is the altoid speaker set, special designed for romantic encounters.

Random complaint about people in the neighborhood

I ordered a new set of computer speakers last week, a nice one b/c I use the computer for 95% of my music. Happily, Amazon had a $30 rebate on the set that was priced just above my speaker budget.

They never arrived. The UPS guy delivered them somewhere else. Some guy named Teitlebaum who doesn't live on my street (or adjacent streets) code signed for them.

Amazon was cool, and has promptly refunded my money. They are out-of-stock (b/c of the rebate, I'm sure)and I can't find the speakers at the price I originally bought them for.

Bummer.

Piano Juggling -- Real or Fake?

Check out the blog that is linked and view the video clip just below the title "Playing the Piano With His Balls".

Now, is it real or fake?

Here is more about that particular performer, Wally Eastwood:

Wally 2 - Vegas Tropicana

Here is another guy who apparently was the motivation for Wally. Dan has some cool clips on his sight.
Dan Menendez

Going back to the original I claim that Wally switches to recorded music when he says "Go".

HOW TO STUDY

Lots of bloggers have linked to this site -- I add my name to the list of people who wished I had read this when I was actually a student. Too late now to learn any new tricks though (except for 5 balls and continuous club backcrosses, of course).
